Reactive Dogs 101

I was recently invited to be the first guest on a new dog training podcast, She Gets Sit Done, hosted by two professional students of mine, Sanne and Toni.

It was fitting that they chose reactivity as the topic since in both of their cases, expanding their toolbox and developing their skills around aggression and reactivity were the main focus of their mentorship with me.

Sanne and Toni, did an excellent job of focusing this discussion around practical considerations to help owners succeed with their leash reactive dogs.

We cover topics such as:

What causes dog to become leash reactive?

Common mistakes that people make when trying to resolve reactivity.

The role of trust in facilitating success with any behavior modification plan.

The proper use of punishment, and it’s risks.

Should owners consider rehoming?

and a whole lot more…

We have a great discussion and you can listen to this episode of the She Gets Sit Done podcast below.
