The day after I posted the video that it included in the post, I started getting Instagram ads from a company proclaiming they would teach you the “best way to train your reactive dog.”
As a young dog trainer, I remember finding myself on the grail quest to find this elusive “best” way to train. It’s natural and normal as you develop as a trainer to ask these types of questions:
What is the best technique for reactivity?
What is the best way to teach a recall?
What is the best way to rehabilitate aggression?
Unfortunately, these and questions like them, are the wrong questions to ask.
